for Cremated Remains

In response to changing customs, Mount Pleasant Cemetery has inaugurated a special area dedicated to the respectful interment of cremated remains.  Nestled beneath the graceful canopy of a magnificent 100-year-old magnolia and surrounded by vibrant azaleas, the Ash Garden provides a peaceful sanctuary for remembrance and reflection. This beautifully landscaped, oval-shaped space invites families to honor loved ones in a setting that celebrates both nature and memory. Seating is provided to allow for quiet contemplation.

 

Interment is conducted in a cylindrical container, with cremated remains placed in a biodegradable pouch and covered with soil. A plaque listing the name, date of birth, and date of death of each individual interred is maintained in the cemetery office.

The interment fee is $500.00.  Pricing for the cremated remains service is included in the Service Fee.
