Cemetery Map

Opened in 1844, historic Mount Pleasant is a 37-acre, Victorian-era  "rural cemetery" located in the North Ward 

of Newark in Essex County, New Jersey.  It lies prominently between Broadway (formerly Belleville Avenue) and the Passaic River. To stroll through this well-landscaped garden cemetery is to take a trip back in time.

 

It is  located on the west bank of the Passaic River in Newark's Broadway neighborhood. Walking through this garden cemetery is a trip back in time.
